Cars are constructed on a purpose-built steel tubular space frame chassis with integral roll cage construction designed and approved to stringent engineering specifications.

The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Limited (CAMS) has been the custodian of motor sport in Australia since 1953. It is responsible for all forms of four-wheeled motor sport which includes categories such as circuit racing, rallying, off roading, historic competition and other general motor sport activities.

Motor racing class run by the Commodore Racing Association of Australia (CRAA). The CRAA is a national body with members in most states of Australia.
